They book an hour, and you leave time to reset the room.
For a photo, video, podcast, or recording studio you already run. People book by the hour, and you leave a gap so you can reset the room. A certificate starts on for a photo or video studio. A podcast or recording room starts without one. The page you send can be the studio’s website. You pick the address, or you use a domain you already own. Settings shows the records to add, and that domain stays off until they match.
A photo or video studio
A photo or video studio starts with a 30-minute gap between bookings, a deposit of 50 percent, and hourly booking turned on. Half-day and full-day stay off until you turn them on and type a rate.
There are no booking fees. The owner pays Stripe's processing fee, and it comes out of the owner's payout. Stripe publishes the current typical US card rate. This app does not store that rate.
It also starts by asking for a certificate of insurance and a signature on the house rules. Space on Hold stores the file with that booking, before the date is confirmed. It doesn't check the name on the certificate, and it doesn't insure the room.
You can turn either file off, and you can change the percent and the gap. The page tells people to bring their own crew, and that lights and gear belonging to the room stay in the room. You can rewrite that sentence.
Peerspace is a marketplace. It introduces people to a studio and keeps a host fee. This page doesn't find anyone for you. You still do the marketing. If a listing brings people in, keep it, and send them here to book.
A podcast, recording, or rehearsal room
A podcast, recording, or rehearsal room starts with a 15-minute gap, a deposit of 50 percent, and hourly booking. House rules start on. A certificate of insurance stays off until you turn it on.
You can leave a short note about the gear already in the room. Write it as a description of what is there. The page asks people to bring their session files and to read that note. You can change every one of those sentences in settings.
The gap between bookings
The gap is held before the booking and after it. That's your time to reset the room, coil a cable, or let the last session finish. Someone else can't take those minutes, and they can't take the hour while another person is paying.
The page
Send people a page they can book on.
Start the 14-day trial, put in your hours and your rates, and send them the page. Use the address you picked, or a domain you already own.
