Keep texting them, and send the page back.
A lot of rooms still run on a message, a Venmo request, a photo of an insurance card in the thread, and a spreadsheet or a second calendar. That can keep working for the people who pay that way. Send the page to the ones who will pick a time and pay without another round of messages. That page can also be the website, if you'd rather not keep a separate site.
What the thread doesn't hold for you
- 01
Each time slot takes one booking, so two people can't book the same hour. The gap you set is held before the booking and after it. A block you add for yourself doesn't get that gap added around it.
- 02
The deposit is written down with the booking. Card money goes to you when Stripe can take charges. If they already paid by Venmo, cash, or check, you type that booking in. The card button stays off until the connected account can take charges.
- 03
The files stay with the booking, so you aren't searching a text thread the night before. If you didn't ask for a file, the deposit is enough to confirm.
- 04
Notes about getting in stay off the public page. They go out about a day ahead, and only for a confirmed booking that starts inside 24 hours.
A calendar you already use can block the same hours. Those events don't become bookings. To get started, you set the hours, the rates, the gap, the deposit, the rules, and the address of the page.
The page
Send people a page they can book on.
Start the 14-day trial, put in your hours and your rates, and send them the page. Use the address you picked, or a domain you already own.
